"Ooh, bacon. Do we have any bacon, baby?" Bobby asked John, grinning. That sounded amazing. And he definitely could see Em's point about the s'mores kit being an easier path when it came to make-ahead treats. Besides, they had ice cream for dessert plenty. John would probably be glad for the change.

"I mean, there are still a lot of us around," he said with a half-shrug. "We're just harder to find now."

At Em's comment about grilling he chuckled and nodded. "I always do." Whether it was grilling, cooking on the gas stove, or getting a fire going in the fireplace during the winter, he most assuredly left the fire-related duties to John.
